About Me
Hi, I'm Rachael, the person behind Knotloopy.
Crochet has been part of my life for 13 years and over that time I have made plenty of things, made mistakes, unravelled projects and started again more times than I count!
And along the way, I realised that what I loved most about crochet wasn't just what I could make with yarn, it was everything that happened when you shared it.
The conversations
The laughter
The encouragement
And that moment when you look at something you've made and feel a sense of "Wow, I made that"

More than Crochet
I started teaching crochet, through a small community group through my church and I quickly saw how much more could happen when people came together to create.
People were talking, laughing, encouraging one another and sharing time together.
And that is something I want to build Knotloopy into.
For me, It isn't about being the fastest, the best or creating the most complicated projects.
It's where mistakes are part of learning.
And where people can feel the same sense of accomplishment with what they have learned and created.

The Journey is just beginning
Knotloopy started as a hobby page where I wanted to share my journey of crocheting with everyone. Now I want to be something more than just a hobby.
Knotloopy is still at the beginning of its new journey, and I am going to be building it slowly and thoughtfully.
I am starting crochet lessons, and simple starter kits that are thoughtfully put together for everything a beginner crocheter needs to start their creative journey.
I have handmade creations in an online shop, while I will also be getting out and about meeting people at local markets.
There are plenty of ideas for the future, but I want Knotloopy to grow naturally and stay true to what inspired it in the first place.
I want people who are learning to feel welcomed and to have a community while learning as they start their creative journey.
