Refund and Cancellation Policy

Last updated: September 2026

At Knotloopy, I want your experience to be enjoyable, welcoming and as stress-free as possible. I
understand that sometimes plans change, so I've put together the following refund and cancellation
policy to keep things fair for both you and Knotloopy.
These terms apply to Knotloopy crochet lessons and handmade products purchased directly from
Knotloopy.

Crochet Lessons

Knotloopy crochet lessons are 1.5-hour, small-group sessions designed to provide a relaxed and
supportive learning experience.

Cancelling or changing your lesson

If you need to cancel or change your booking, please contact Knotloopy as soon as possible.

48 hours or more before your lesson.

You may cancel your booking and receive a full refund of the lesson fee.
Alternatively, you can request to move your booking to another available lesson time.

Less than 48 hours before your lesson.

If you need to cancel within 48 hours of your lesson, Knotloopy will do its best to offer you an
alternative lesson time, subject to availability.

Where possible, we will work with you to find a suitable solution, particularly in the case of illness,
family emergencies or other circumstances outside your control.

No-shows

If you do not attend your scheduled lesson and have not contacted Knotloopy beforehand, the lesson

fee will generally not be refundable or transferable.
However, if there are exceptional circumstances, please get in touch. Knotloopy will consider these
situations on a case-by-case basis.

If Knotloopy needs to cancel

Sometimes circumstances outside our control may mean that a lesson needs to be cancelled or
rescheduled.

If Knotloopy needs to cancel your lesson, you will be offered:

  • a transfer to another suitable lesson time; or
  • a full refund of the lesson fee if you are unable to reschedule.

You will never be charged a cancellation fee when Knotloopy cancels your lesson.

Consumer Guarantees Act

Nothing in this policy limits or excludes your rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act
1993 or any other rights you may have under New Zealand law.
If a service does not meet the guarantees required by law, you may be entitled to an appropriate
remedy, which may include having the issue corrected, a partial refund or a full refund depending on
the circumstances.

Handmade Products

Every Knotloopy item is handmade with care and may have the small variations that make handmade
products unique.

Change of mind

Because our handmade products are made with care and often in limited quantities, Knotloopy does
not generally offer refunds or exchanges simply because you have changed your mind or no longer
want the item.

Please take a moment to check the product description, measurements, colours and other details
before purchasing.

This does not affect your rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act.

Faulty or damaged products

Knotloopy stands behind the quality of our handmade products.
If your item arrives damaged, is faulty, does not match its description, or otherwise does not meet the
guarantees required under New Zealand consumer law, please contact us as soon as possible.
Depending on the circumstances, Knotloopy may offer a:

  • repair;
  • replacement; or
  • refund.

The appropriate remedy will depend on the nature and seriousness of the issue and your rights under
the Consumer Guarantees Act.

If your item arrives damaged, please contact Knotloopy and, where possible, provide photographs of
the damage so we can understand what has happened and work out the best solution.

Handmade variations

Handmade items may have small differences in colour, size, texture or appearance compared with
photographs or other items.
These natural variations are part of what makes handmade crochet special and are not generally
considered faults.
Where a specific colour, size or design has been agreed with you, Knotloopy will make every reasonable
effort to provide the item as described.

Care of handmade items

Knotloopy will provide care instructions where appropriate.
Customers are responsible for following the recommended care instructions. Damage caused by
incorrect washing, cleaning, storage, misuse, normal wear and tear or alterations made after purchase
may not be covered.

This does not affect any rights you may have under the Consumer Guarantees Act.
